It's A Camera! A Camcorder! An MP3 Player! (Huh?)
Electronics | Jan 13, 05
It's the DXG-305V, and of all the new digital photo technology rolled out at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas this week, this one stands out as than the usual "Look, we've hiked resolution by another tenth of a megapixel" fare.

It's a 5 in 1 combo: camcorder, 3.0 megapixel camera, MP3 player, voice recorder and PC camera, and it comes in a case of credit card width and length (and it comes in cool colors like iridescent blue, hot pink, lime green, and sleek silver). It should be available in February and it'll run you $129. Now perhaps you never thought you needed to listen to music on your camcorder, but then again there was a time when we were all silly enough not to realize we needed to take photos with our phones.

I would by a dvd recorder that plugs into a TV. There are many under 199 dollars and you can plug in your VCR or camcorder using standard RCA jacks and copy direct to a DVD R disk. I have a Lite-on brand, paid $179 and it works fine

My DXG305V.
I can't seem to get it to transfer to my computer. Is there a plug-in that I'm missing?
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Just got one of these - and here are some comments. Neat little device, although it is a bit quirky to use. The selection screen when connected to the computer crosses out the selection you want to make - then you press the selection lever IN to activate the selection - either PC camera or mass storage device. Once this happens, (and assuming you have the drivers installed first) the device will be either your PC camera (capture device) or be listed as two drives. AT that point you can move the photos off the camera and into the computer, copy MP3's into the camera, or even format the card if you wish. I'm not particularly fond of the included software for photos, and I haven't tried out the program for video yet.
Macro mode for photos is difficult - the focus range is about 17-22 cm, which is probably about 7-9 inches or so. Cannot see if the image is in focus or not! Other than that, its a very cool little toy!

I have input the software into my computer that came with the camera and have recorded video on the memory card. The video is displayed on the camera, but nothing shows on the computer when I put the memory card in. I have no problem with a Secure Digital Memory Card from different brand camera. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

I purchased the DXG-305V and find that all the videos and pics have a very yellowish hue and are very dark. I have had to edit all the photos before I could print them. Any ideas on how to get a clear picture and video?

For getting songs on the mp3!
What i do is i connect it to the computer and open my computer on the pc. After i get to My computer i open the file that contains all of the stuff on the camera. Then i drag my mp3 files into the folder that says mp3 or u can make a folder that says that and i disconnect and i listen to my music just fine!!!
Well i love this camera and i use it almost everyday. i dont no wut to say bout the yellow hue thing but just that it doesnt happen to me and also bout the 1gb i dont think u can use it
well thats all for now and if u have any questions well i will try to answer them
